So I have been a fan of the Warrens since before the Conjuring movies came out. Needless to say I was blown away by the first two movies, they were so scary and executed the plot much better than the 3rd movie, "The Devil Made Me Do It". I did enjoy the fact that it was a different kind of story compared to the first two. However I felt as if the movie was lacking in the fact that it was a bit of a jumbled mess in terms of following along with the movie. It was not very thrilling or scary, which is okay as I know the movie was trying to be different compared to its counterparts. I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet. It just was not really scary and a little confusing. Also most of the movie was not true to its origin for the sole fact that for legal matters, many things involving the actual case were forgotten and lost among the not so scary jumpscares and the almost rushed feel of the movie. If they had made the movie more of a backstory to David's possession and exorcism, I feel it could have been better. However I know for legal purposes, that would have probably made for a backlash and possible lawsuit. The next time I hear that another conjuring movie is going to be in the works, they should try to focus on the backstories of some of the other famous haunted objects the Warrens have collected over the years and not try for this law and order type ordeal with the Warrens being like action heroes when in real life they are just ordinary people like us. Some of the stunts in this movie were a bit cheesy and not very realistic. Other than that, I was happy to see more of the Warrens, as they do make for a great story and movie.
