Okay so let's get this out of the way, the film isn't completely unwatchable. There's a lot of weird dialogue in the middle of the film and the ending I questioned why it happened but the final bits of dialogue were good. The characters are a bit odd at times with what they say and the CGI is lacking in certain areas though the designs of the robots were fine. I feel like there were parts that could've used music but didn't have any. The thing that the film suffers the most for is the weird dialogue and odd plot choices which takes me out of it. Though that's just me and I'm planning on watching it with some friends to see their input and I'll add it in this review.

First off, just because I, an idiot, called the major plot twists from a mile away doesn't mean that it was poorly executed, as a matter of fact I cannot describe how happy I was to have my prediction be right and it brought so much joy... and then they did something I would hate a film for not doing, KILLING A CHARACTER WHILE THEY'RE DISTRACTED! Like oh my goodness it's just great, everything was beautifully animated and the characters I adored. There were characters you felt for, the villains you feared, there was enough action to keep me excited and enough dialogue to keep me interested in seeing what would happen, everything in that regard was perfect, and most of all the story was very consistent and stayed that way, but most of all was the ending which gave some very good closure to it despite so little explanation, which is something that very few things manage to do for me. It was everything I could have wanted in a film and will very likely remain one of my favourites for years to come, please I beg you check the film out and if you enjoy it I beg you to try and help out the creators of this film, cause it was so underrated especially since there were so many other big films coming out that year they ended up not getting as much money as they used to make it. Anyways thank you for reading this and I really do hope this makes you consider watching it.

Was my childhood. I cannot describe how much it makes me feel watching it again.

It was fantastic and all the characters were likeable and well thought out (Including the antagonists), the story was quite good and the animation was astounding. I hope there's a season two coming out and I have no real criticism against it.

If the part of Pokémon you like most is the battling, then this is certainly not for you. To me the entire plot made no sense, the reason why Pokémon in the city aren't allowed to battle is stupid, the characters weren't compelling at all and just bland, there was only one scene that I actually enjoyed (The Charizard battle) but even so it was so short lasting only four minutes if not less. I hated it! Really the only redeemable parts were some of the Pokémon models as most were well made along with the visuals although some of the models are downright horrifying along with some parts of the story (For no good reason), but the story was trash and it all just seemed like one big cash grab, and the swearing was not necessary. To me though the ending was the worst part about it as I realized that I wasted my time and the characters didn't grow at all.
