This really is the movie that should have been released in theaters... as a May/December cadence. If you're attempting to make a movie that will branch off into films to that expand the stories of the characters within, you have to make a movie that allows the audience to care about the lives and motivations of the characters within. ZSJL actually does that, making them people, instead of set pieces.
