While scrolling through Christmas movies to watch last year, this one looked interesting so I added it to my list. WOW!!! I watched it again immediately, and a third time a couple days later with my daughter. She had seen it already but wanted to watch it again too. I just got through watching it...again, which makes the 5th/6th time. I’m addicted to this movie, lol. Great storyline, great acting, such a heartwarming movie to begin with, and to add Christian Kane, Joe Don Rooney, and Brock, (I mean Christopher Rich, lol) is icing on the cake. Not sure if this is the first movie Joe Don has been involved with but who knew he could act as well as he sings?!? As far as Christian Kane, I became a fan in his Leverage days and absolutely fell in love after hearing his music. Perfect ending with a snappy, story-telling song, I believe written by Joe Don, where he and Christian each sing ‘their story’ verses. How much better can it get than that! Christmas In The Heartland is a movie that is sure to touch your heart, make you laugh, cheer, possibly shed a tear, and in my case want to punch Bo Derek’s character, Elsa and have a drink with the hilarious maid, June. If I had the option, I’d give it 10 stars!!
