This movie had a cool premise with it's expanded universe idea. But the writing wasn't great, the actors seemed to do the best they could with what they had. A lot of predictable tropes throughout the movie. Mila Kunis' character is set up as a classic damsel in distrress, it's frustrating watching her take abuse from the pouty mouthed irritating villain.
