Like most reviews, i agree Foundation is not recognisable with regards to the source material other than a basic premise and some character names. Unlike the books it has lost it grand scale of the story (no matter how much they put into the visuals) and is just a bunch of small character driven side plots...worlds away from how the books read. The series is warping into a Discovery Star Trek series...Mary Sue female characters, all males either evil, incompetent or sacrificing themselves for the greater good, it also shoe horns social justice elements that detract from the thin story as it is. Its another case of form over substance, the story lines are weak and nothing new.

Love Westerns of all types and was looking forward to this one because it looked different and has Idris Elba in it. Sorry to say it was a big disappointment. Not sure what style the director was going for because it jumped from serious to comedy to music video. The plot was very weak and full of padding. There was also the male female dynamics of the age which saw the main male characters either deferring or getting bested which made it feel too staged. If they were looking to make this a blaxsploitation movie, why the inclusion of white town!!! you cant climb up by putting other down...this felt very flat...were they trying to do a homage to Mel Brooks and Blazing saddles. To summarise, over long, weak plot and a bit SJW with a hint of racism.

The monsters seemed more real than the people in the film...Poor writing to try and link elements together....1000miles to the centre of the earth and 5 mins to get back up...All people want is the fight and that was the good part. the rest...Skip..
