Outstanding!!! Will Smith out did yourself. The best performance ever. History was brought to light. I have watched many slavery movies. But this one really brought out how cruel people are.I think our race really forgot the men that die for our freedom. They take for granted what this means. It's sad to know that some people want slavery to return. What a shame. Peter was a strong man in every sense of the word. He fought for freedom and fought for family. His faith in God is the way our faith should be. Not when things are good. This man endured mentally and physically. I hope people watch Emancipation and really understand that dark time period and understand what this means today. How to better yourself as an individual. How to be a better man. History at it's best.

Story line well put together. The writer understand human feeling and the demon that people have to face. The right things were say, I like coop during the right thing instead of taking someone life I'm looking forward to season two.

What a great film. Spot on the way entertainers were treated during that era. Love the friendship that was born. This is all so real in the world we live in. Friendship is possible regardless of the color of our skin.Thank God and my parent taught me and raised me to love all. Great Acting love it love it.
