#Ozark #Netflix I am one satisfied soul.. after binge watching part 1 of Season 4. What a series, what a season and what a finale .. it’s not even over … and I just can’t wait for part 2. Marty Byrde, Wendy Byrde and Ruth Langmore will go down as some of the greatest and most iconic characters in television history . A brief synopsis for someone unfamiliar with ozark.. Marty Byrde(Jason Bateman) is a financial planner who lives in Chicago with his wife Wendy( Laura Linney) and his teenaged kids. His partner gets involved in business with some drug lord and in the process gets killed along with his girlfriend. What follows is a series of murky dark events which seems to follow each other and Marty finds himself headed on the run to the idyllic Ozarks in Missouri . Lines between ethics, wrong , right get blurred as Marty begins to launder money for his bosses, in an attempt to keep his family alive. However, this process takes him and everyone else along with him down a slippery slope down a dark dark abyss… to a point of no return. What was meant to be an escape and short-gap arrangement tk get out of the mess, soon becomes a never ending saga with ambition, greed gets disguised as protection for the family. Wendy and Marty play pivots in this drama and it’s a treat to watch both Jason and Laura displaying perfection in their craft. It’s a splendid display of their respective prowess. However, the character that takes the cake is Ruth Langmore(Julia Garner) is a local resident who helps him in his endeavours. She is simply outstanding in her extremely complex role of sidekick who starts on the wrong side and ends up having more morals that the rest of them all. Julia has already won two Emmy’s for best supporting actress for her portrayal of Ruth Langmore Twists and turns galore, it is a gripping tale that leaves you breathless in trying to find your own conscience and moral compass while getting caught in the sordid tale of the Byrdes. Shot on location in the gorgeous locales of the ozarks, this is one of the all time greats. I am dreading the end of the show. This one is flawless. I am rating it 5/5
