One of the best anime series of 2017, sadly overlooked in the US due to its misfortune of being a then- exclusive for Amazon's Anime Strike, which at the time was an add-on premium to one's Amazon Prime account. An original story set in an alternate steampunk Victorian era that incorporates the key elements that make spy/espionage stories fun;infiltration,disguise,seduction,car chases,and some astounding steampunk spy gadgets. All the core cast are great characters, composing a solid and engaging team. The visuals, from the backgrounds to prop design are excellent,and when action scenes occur, they provide top-notch excitement. And of course, an excellent Yuki Kajiura soundtrack is the creamy icing on this cake. It's great in its original Japanese, but the Sentai Filmworks English dub is a cut above most modern dubs--they even give us convincing British accents! Try the first episode, and I'm confident you'll be hooked.
