(SPOILERS AHEAD) As a person who is obsessed with jewelry and bling, I was excited for this. The movie even featured a few jewelers who made pieces for rappers, like Popular Jewelry and Trax NYC, however they couldn't save this film. The movie is basically about this jeweler who keeps creating problems for himself AND his family, and promises to fix them and never does, like getting involved in a gang, cheating on his wife with his co-worker, and trading a basketball player's ring for a massive opal. He never solves these problems, which only makes his life worse. At the end of the film, he bets on a basketball game (from the player he traded the ring for the opal) for a truckload of cash with the gang waiting outside, and wins. After the bet is won, the gang storms into his store and kills him. This whole movie was a big disappointment, and really lowered my expectations for movies with Adam Sandler.
