While the storyline is good, the acting is sub-standard - rather than being period acting this comes across as more like the acting you would see in Neighbours or Home and Away. The most annoying character in the movie is John Gilbert due to him being portrayed as an over-the-top camped-up wannabe toff making him unbelievable as a bushranger... makes you want to grab a gun and shoot him yourself. Accents of the characters comes and goes and enunciation is too "proper".

Slow boring storyline. Some sections have things happen that have little explanation, relevance or connection to the story. Probably the best thing in the whole movie is at the end with the appearance of Lynda Carter as Asteria.
