A whopping great read. Funny, beautifully written, humanity in all its’ vulnerability. Narration from the different characters viewpoints was interesting but became a little dizzying for me at times (Imelda) and the final scene reminded me of reading “we’re going on a bear hunt”. I preferred the first two thirds to the last third, but overall I found this to be a very perceptive, clever, witty book with a tragic drive that reminded reading Zola. Highly recommended
