as someone who’s very open minded to and about the supernatural and experienced things first-hand, i just can’t bring myself to believe some of this stuff. it HAS to be incredibly dramatized. **SPOILER**, you’re really telling me this guy threw up an entire python and then it constricted itself around him? and if you found a hidden room with razor blades and significant, gory amounts of blood with hanging chains/handcuffs, why wouldn’t you notify the police...? seems waaaay too unrealistic. i’m sure these people did experience paranormal things, but to this extent? i don’t believe it. sorry. good to watch, sure, when you want something to creep you out on a late night spook marathon. but in terms of real events, i don’t see it.

One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. What looked to be a complex unraveling plot with mysterious twists turns out to be a pointless and completely bare movie. Very slow and only gains interest with 20 minutes left of a 2 hour film. So much extra backstory that doesn’t assist the overall plot at all. But definitely goes to show how privileged, rich families will deny the truth for their own reputation and benefit. Hated the light this put mental illness in, trying to make it look important but really didn’t in the end. Overall, a rollercoaster of useless timelines with no satisfying ending.
