Okay, so I understand that not everyone shares my perspective and that people have mixed feelings about this series. I watched it (although it dragged so, so much).
First thing I disliked about this series, the main actress - this was NOT a role for her. Terrible acting, terrible script, terrible decisions, terrible in every aspect. She can’t cry. She can’t act. She’s clumsy and it looks like she’s constantly struggling for her lines.
Second thing, the storyline is too confusing in the beginning. You have to struggle to really situate yourself where you are (present, past, farther in the past). Too many changes happening in so little time - and no explanation or hint. You just have to know you’re in that year/time.
Third, although the series is called Resident Evil, and we already assume there will be lots of mutations to (made up animals), zombies, and the famous T-Virus. Instead, we get a freaking oversized caterpillar and crocodile. I mean… when did this happened? I feel the name was off, and that’s why it disappointed me.
The series is not THAT bad. It just doesn’t meet expect for those Resident Evil lovers, ve it if the games or the movie franchise. It just doesn’t feel like the right name.
I was one of the few people in the beginning who ACTUALLY was looking forward to this series and giving it a chance. Something fresh. But this wasn’t what I was hoping for.
