I’m not a movie critic. The movie was simply amazing 😉 in my opinion. The performance by the actress was flawless. Her performance was such that I would have given the award without even having to see any other movie . I don’t know what other Korean movies came out in 2011, but this young lady who played the role of the blind woman should have won Best Actress in a leading role for 2011. The lead actor was great as well. They eventually gave this young lady the best actress award a couple years later in a movie titled Cold Eyes. I viewed that movie as well, and she did not deserve the best actress award in that movie. Not because of her performance, but her role in the movie was equally shared with other actors. She was just another player who was on a team. The award organization must have regretted not given her the award for her dominating performance in Always and decided the award 🥇 in Cold Eyes. Very strange. I hope this young lady is growing and maturing in her God given ability in her career as an actress.
