I am a grandmother, grew up reading the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew mysteries. So I’m from a generation that grew up expressing ourselves without swear words. I found the foul language very offensive, and quite frankly, distracts from what could be a good mystery. It was a little confusing jumping from character to character, from the past to the present age, but that didn’t faze me as much as the numerous curse words. The police woman’s mouth was way over the top! Seriously, throwing out a bunch of foul language distracts from a good story. It could be a good series, especially if you cut out the potty mouths. Need writers that can grab you with a good story line, not ones that try to cover up lack of writing skills with a bunch of curse words.
