Bad animation, predictable woke storyline, and ripoff soundtrack. Some points: 1. The dialogue is terrible. Made me cringe everytime a contraction was used (won’t, can’t, I’ll, We’ll etc.) as that was not Tolkien’s style. Totally wrecked the immersion experience as you get thrown from middle earth back to contemporary times. I also noticed the writers sneaking in lines and sometimes scenes from the original lotr trilogy just to appeal to the fandom’s love for lotr. 2. Superwoman Hera, nuff said. 3. They threw in the towel when they saw that the tower was finally completed when all they had to do was burn it with arrows and torches as soon as it was deployed onto their wall. It took the attackers at least 5 to 10 minutes to cross the darned thing anyway, more than enough time to set it ablaze.

An incredible series where each episode is a masterpiece. Most notable episode for me was Jibaro. The visuals and storyline are just mesmerizing! I stumbled onto this while waiting for a new season of Black Mirror, and boy did it fill the gap. 5 stars for this series!

*Spoilers!* 1. We’re getting attacked by a lion, let’s panic and run the car into a tree 2. Of course we don’t have radio signal or cellphone service 3. We tranqued the lion, let’s forget about it instead of chasing it down and killing it while it’s asleep 4. There’s a dangerous lion out there, lemme run out while dad and little sis are being attacked so I can save uncle Martin. We can always slowly hobble back safely 5. Of course the poacher has the keys in his pocket, why would he leave it in the ignition, right? 6. Let’s make as much noise as possible on the walkie talkie while dad is stealthily searching for said keys. And of course there’s a snake in the tree 7. Let’s take only one gun with limited bullets from the dead, heavily armed poachers 8. Let’s assume the lion is dead after viewing the burning truck from a distance 9. Of course the poacher’s truck has limited gas 10. Let’s leave all the doors of the schoolhouse open as we go around looking for stuff 11. Let’s waste all our bullets without taking careful aim 12. Let’s not wait in the safety of the gated room. Instead, let’s rush out, lure and attack the lion with a puny knife, hoping the demon lion doesn’t tear us to shreds while the friendly lions decide whether to help or not Honestly, terrible writing. Characters who go out of their way to be stupid make you wonder if the writers are just as stupid.

May contain spoilers! This is probably an unpopular opinion but I seriously hated this movie. Here are the reasons: 1. The dad was selfish from start to finish. -Didn’t want to accomodate his neighbor’s daughter (after watching the entire movie, it turns out she could have survived after all). -Wanted the military plane to delay takeoff just so he could get off, which resulted in the plane getting blown up and hundreds of people losing their chance to escape to Greenland. -Blocked the prop type plane from taking off, risking the lives of all the people on board, and lying about his weight which could have resulted in lack of fuel or a plane crash. In hindsight, the kind pilot would have survived if the dad had not delayed the flight for about 10 minutes. They would have landed safely before the shockwave from the explosion. 2. The mom. -Decided to travel all the way to her dad’s farm after waiting for 1 second for the husband. Just sent text messages and didn’t even try calling. If she assumed that the husband got on the plane for Greenland, then why leave a message that she would meet him at her dad’s farm in Lexington? -Didn’t even bother to thank the nice mexican family for giving her a ride. Just got out of the van and ran. -Didn’t even thank the black medical guy who ran all over the place with her looking for her son’s tent. 3. The dad mentions that the son is so smart for saying profound stuff about life flashing before their eyes before death, but apparently not smart enough to notice that his meds fell out of his bag. It’s also improbable and careless that the mom would leave such important meds in the son’s bag and not keep it in hers. 4. Other stuff. -Some thugs start randomly shooting people in the pharmacy. What for? To scare them away by shooting them? -The bad side of humanity at the start (thugs in pharmacy, husband and wife kidnappers, hammer wielding wristband-napper), then suddenly complete kindness from strangers as it drew closer to doomsday? (Mexican family, soldier that helps the kid, black medical guy, nurse girl in tent, pilot) I would think the opposite is more plausible. -Apparently there were bunkers all over the world? Then why did America need to send people to Greenland in the first place? I would also imagine that since Europe was supposed to be wiped out, wouldn’t the entire population flee to Greenland since it was on tv that there were bunkers there and no mention of other bunkers worldwide? Heck I imagine at least half of China would be im Greenland as soon as word got out. -Tiny little fragile birds survived? Really? I’m giving this 1 star just for Scott Glenn and his character. Sorry for the long review, but I just needed to get this off my chest!

Pretty good movie and awesome effects. I’m taking away one star because I figured a lot more people could have survived if they just built loads of submarines instead of arks. Then they could have just ridden out the mayhem under the ocean.

Anyone else notice the multiple copy-paste reviews on here? Praveen, Koopman, Nair, Patro. Different people’s names but same review? And they all say they’re from different places in India. Seems sketchy to me. Anyway, the movie would’ve been more enjoyable if not for Sandra Bullock’s extremely annoying character here. Love the actress, but hate the character.

It’s already 2022 and we’re still getting painfully predictable and boring reboots/sequels like this. I really thought that characters who go out of their way to die were a thing of the past, but this movie is chocfull of it. The old “let’s kill him but not make sure he’s dead, and celebrate with our backs turned” cliche is so overused, it’s sickening. To all scriptwriters and movie directors out there: Please stop ruining classics if you’re not even going to try to create something new and fresh!

One of the worst series I’ve ever had the misfortune of washing. This must have been written by a 15 year old. Acting is just atrocious, specifically Taylor, Bonnie, and Clyde. Bonnie and Clyde…Cowboy warden…really, writers? Anyone who enjoyed this series and left a good review needs to watch more intelligent shows out there.

Terrible movie, don’t waste your time. A lot of other reviewers have said why, so I’d just like to throw in that it has a horrible soundtrack to boot, sorry gen z’ers. On a side note, maybe it would’ve been more watchable if Benny behaved more like Jamie Foxx in “Collateral”. Like, you know, maybe don’t unexplainably take sides with the mass murdering passengers that you just met?

Spoilers ahead-warning! Quite disappointed in this film. I think this movie could have been ten times better if the mom vampire was badass and started hunting the terrorists one by one. That would have been interesting to watch as the tables are turned and the hunters become the hunted. I really thought that’s what the trailer was teasing at. Instead, her advantage as an apex predator quickly fades as everyone else turns into vampires. What’s the point then of the vampire angle? The whole film could have been reshot with normal people and it wouldn’t make a difference. So disappointed that the writer(s) dropped the ball and missed out on a huge opportunity at a great film. At least that’s my opinion. Notes: -The kid’s acting was atrocious -For the life of me I can’t figure out how they handcuffed Farid when he only had one hand left.
