I unfortunately found it painfully boring & repetitive, which contrary to what those who like it have suggested, does not mean that I didn't understand it. I also didn't like how it ended with an attempt to create empathy for the killer rather than the victim & their family. It's a pet peeve when we're not given enough credit as viewers so it bothered me that too much was pointed out to us

I love ridiculous shark movies and movies that are so bad they're good. But this was only so bad that it was good in say the last 30 minutes. The rest of it was excruciating. If the whole movie was as entertaining as the final scenes I'd have walked out a lot happier

The cinematography is fantastic, that and Jules are the main reasons I'm still watching. What I can't stand is the sound. I have to have the volume up quite loud to even try to make out what characters are saying a lot of the time. There's so much mumbling, speaking under their breath, whispering etc that I often miss parts of conversations and narration. Then the sound effects/music will be so loud that I have to turn the volume up and down constantly & am kind of on edge in anticipation of the next loud bit. I am sensitive to noise so I can't blame them for that but I can't help but wish the actors would speak a bit more clearly, and in the case of some, with expression. I'm watching it right now and have no idea what Rue just said, it was so mumbled

I agree with most of the comments regarding the brilliant use of suspense and minimalistic elements. I love the film overall but some of the idiotic choices made by Jamie Lee Curtis' character spoiled it a bit for me. I get that if she'd called the police instead of going to the house where she suspected her friend had been strangled it'd end there, so I can forgive that. But leaving the knife near the killer, hanging around contemplating life instead of at least trying to get the hell out, the list goes on. I know poor decisions have become part-and-parcel of horror but I still don't think they needed to be QUITE that bad for it to work
