The show looks pretty. The characters are decent. But a lot of stuff in it does not make any sense. In the 1st episode, he says they got one shot, which begs the question, why didn't they use the entire stash of bombs in the first place (because they needed mando to be of some use).
In another episode, mando needed to remove his helmet for a face scan, but why? Why scan the face if the system doesn't even authenticate the face. Is it the reason why the other guy didn't want to go?
Mando, didn't feel like someone raised in the fighting core. He felt like a bumbling idiot who trusts everyone around him like an amateur.
After the kid got kidnapped, whenever someone refused to help, he simply said the kid was taken away, and everyone suddenly jumps in to help him. I never got why people had such a great connection with the kid in the first place.
The show feels quite meh at best, but still far better than the sequels which set the bar so low that people are actually praising this mediocrity beyond what is due.
