Enjoyed the movie. The performance was great. Some reviews I've read tried to pin the undertone of the movie on US politics. Regardless, I think in all countries, you would find families such as this one, and the cycle of struggles they face to make life better for themselves.

The storyline is unrealistic - ridiculous to see how a middle aged successful executive would have to downgrade several notches when he lost his job, and his wife having to work menial job. And not to mention they have no other friends and relations in the whole movie. Most ridiculous is how calculating and spot on in his plans to move in to finish off Lara's husband, and have Lara and Monice love him as their new family member.
