Comprehensive and readable explanation of all the major taxes in the UK. Published annually so always right up to date. In comparison to other works of similar length, it is not as academic as Tiley's Revenue Law or as technical as Revenue Law: Principles and Practice or MHA MacIntyre Hudsons Yellow & Orange Tax Guides but still very useful to get a reasonably full understanding of the various taxes. Recommended for both students and practitioners.
