What a wonderful movie.. right from the beginning till the end, no unwanted masala.. After a long time I watched a beautiful crafted movie, simply superb acting by every character. Nithya menen, hats off to u, no vulgarity and obscene dance, but u portrayed ur character with poise and dignity.. such a stellar performance.. Dhanush ur really too good buddy, loved ur role in this movie.. simply wow!!

It's good to know that regional cinema is making movies based out of real individual experiences and their triumphs. Truly inspiring and sad to see the state of our fellow country men/ women suffer which we are oblivious to. Having said that, the movie is 3hrs and 17mins long. I really don't understand the need for making every movie so lengthy, for what?? Too many unwanted scenes just to encapsulate the depth of hardships, stockholm syndrome etc, repeated a lot escpecially in the second half was not required at all. The victims transformation was beautifully projected and that itself was enough to give the audience a sense of an individual losing faith, hope and sanity. In-short, a 90mins movie wld have had a much better impact than the actual runtime.

I really should have taken into seriois consideration & the advice of the negative reviews before booking tickets for this ultra f@#k all movie. My show started at 11:25pm and by 11:45pm I was out of there. Since this movie was directed by Atlee and had all the big stars of North & South, it would have some depth and story. Yet again I was disappointed. The direction was awry and all over the place. Never in my life I've seen a clean prison & also wherein the women are freely moving in and out for their respective missions. Vijay Sethupathi was disappointing, and its clearly evident that every action scene is a remake of mission impossible, kung-fu hustle, the Italian job and many more. After I've watched OMG2 and what a refreshing movie it was. Please teach directors how to direct, please teach actors how to act..

Really dont know when tamil film's are gonna improve. Such a seasoned director who cannot identify the basic dubbing of actors trying to speak the language, acting was very average, the story could have been so intense & gripping keeping in mind the drug menace happening all over. But the story lacked gravity, the screenplay was so shabby, acting was horrible to say the least. Why dont these directors ever learn from Hollywood how not to forget minute detailing. Such a lackluster film with 0 credits to anyone.

Screenplay is completely off, clearly shows they were trying to link characters somehow, vague and doesn't make any sense.

They 've spent so much money on what?? Vfx was ordinary, especially the final battle scene. The second half was a tad entertaining but overall quite a placid movie without a build up. The ending was done in such a hurry and there r so many flaws. Our visual effects and vfx standards r a long way off.

It's time that the script should be the strong point of a movie, and focus on today's civic issues and how slight political motives are consuming the people in a negative way. Bring some sense into the movie rather get some stupid ass lame pointless run around the mill concept which we have seen a million times. Combination of gr8 actors but weak story line has ruined the expectations of this movie. Bharat anne nenu( apologies for wrong spelling), was talking about our people of how we forget our duties and all struck towards selfish motives. Over all not worth it.

Very sad to see the state of tamil movies these days. Hardly can pick 1 or 2 good movies in a year. Otherwise it's the same formula, no proper script, no story, kuthu songs, heorine's who can't deliver dialogues and emotions properly, sad looking heroes except a few like suriya & vijay, good for nothing comedy, etc. One thing surely that meets every movie after 2 days of release is one self proclaimed success party. Thoo!!
