Even though I absolutely love Breaking Bad and Better call saul series, I felt like this film was a little overhyped and not needed at all. * Spoiler * When Breaking Bad ended, everyone thought what happened to Jesse? Where did he go? Also everyone figured he would ho to Alaska, which is how the movie ended. The end also seemed just the same as the ending in Breaking Bad, as Jesse drove off to live his life free escaping Jack's gang compound, Jesse drove off to live his life free escaping the authorities with a new name. I'm disappointed there wasn't something more into what his life will end up like in Alaska which is what I partly what I wanted to see in the movie. That is the reason why I think this movie was unnecessary because I still have the big unanswered question " How did Jesse end up?!? Does he become a carpenter? Does he mentally heal from his past? Did he make it into town no trouble? Does he settle down? Or does he break bad again?
In my opinion, if this was cut up into three 1hr 20 min movies or three limited episodes, this would have helped more character arcs including Jesse's with additional story.
My overall on the movie. I can't hate it, I love Breaking bad although high expectations because of all the hype made me rate this as a 8.5/10
