THREE WORD SUMMARY: Boring, Depressing, Underwhelming.
Ever seen a "painting" that looks like a child splashed random colors on canvas and asked yourself "how is this art?" as many others oogle it and act like they see some masterpiece? That's this movie to me. I just don't get the hype.
I like both the actors, I thought the setting was great, I loved that it was in black and white. But the interest ended there. You're literally watching two dudes slowly go crazier and crazier until they kill each other. And not in a thriller/horror way either, I've seen people compare this to the shining and it's nothing like that other than the isolation. It just seemed to be drawn out and pointless.. Let me say that word again POINTLESS. In jaws.. the point is there's a killer shark they need to kill. In 1917, they need to get word behind enemy lines to stop an ambush from happening. In the shining, the dad is slowly going insane and the kid and mom have to escape him. All of these movies have a point, somewhere the plot is leading to. This one has none.. It's just endless drunken darkness and quite frankly its so loony and dark it's depressing. I literally felt bad mentally after watching this crappy dark movie.
Can't even begin to describe how horrible this movie is.
Wes Anderson on bath salts? Thats as close as I can get to this waste of two hours.
