(SPOILERS) I personally never read the manga and didn't even know it was based off of one until the credits mentioned it (although I should've guessed as much), but it is a good movie, great CGI and sound (make sure you see it in IMAX or Dolby if you can, the bass really adds to some shots), good character development, although Dyson was a bit confusing, since he basically just lets Alita do what she wants, even though she could easily get killed doing just that, and he's supposed to be protecting her not necessarily from external threats, but from herself and her puppy-love complex. Ending was also incredibly disappointing, it's obvious they're setting up for a sequel or even a trilogy, which could very well backfire on them (The Hobbit). I honestly think they should've wrapped up with just one movie, even an extra 30 minutes could've been enough time to wrap up. But nothing stops Hollywood from milking a potential franchise, I guess.
