I was 14 when I first read this book, didn't know much about the outside world. I had a very wrong misunderstanding about Afghanistan and Afghanis. This book completely changed my perspective towards them. It teaches us about love,hatred,sacrifice,that true love never fades,the sacrifices a mother had to make. All the characters are beautifully potrayed. It not only teaches us life lessons but the beautiful yet sad history of Afghanistan. I am 16 now, still this book never fails to amaze me. IF you are a novel lover, this book should definitely be in your list!!!!!
