This movie has a lot of problems so I'll just go through the most annoying. This film goes by way too fast, it's like a bad YouTube edit. Most of the actors suck, Nani in particular is really annoying. She has no chemistry with Lilo in this, so they never felt like a family who cared about each-other. The effects are mostly trash, while Stitch looks alright in this, especially compared to the 2019 Lion King, Jumba and Pleakley look awful. I feel bad for the CGI animators, imagining having to look at these things for hours everyday. This movie also took away a lot of the edge that was in the original, Lilo was a sweet but kinda messed up kid, that's the point, it's part of her arc. But in the remake, they water down her flaws. They also make the ending too happy, yet it also doesn't make sense. I know that sounds weird to say about a Disney movie, "oH, iT's ToO hApPy" but hear me out. In the original film, Nani raises Lilo after their parents die, it's even hinted that Nani gave up being a champion surfer to do it. Still, they learn to make the best of it, especially since Nani loves her sister and doesn't want social services to separate them. In this movie, they're just like "Oh it's ok, Lilo can just stay with the nice neighbor lady, and Nani can go to college in California because there are no colleges in Hawaii apparently", like fuck off. Plus, we don't know the neighbor that well, so this doesn't hit like they think it does. It also raises some questions, like if there's a neighbor who can look after Lilo, how come she's not babysitting Lilo more often. Why is Nani bringing Lilo and Stitch to these interviews when they keep messing it up. I know the idea is that Nani is too proud to ask for help, but if we don't see or care about the neighbor lady, then why would we be happy when she adopts Lilo at the end. Hell, what we do see of her makes her really unlikable, this lady straight up gets a dog without Nani's knowledge! What's wrong with this woman!? Overall, this movie sucks, don't bother watching it.

It's good, it's got some problems, but there's a lot to like about it. The best part is the animation, it looks spectacular. The songs are great(except Soda Pop), and the character expressions are fun. Worst part is that a lot of the dialog is really obvious, I like the character arcs, but sometimes it feels like a 12 year old wrote the lines. Also the voice actor for Jinu sucks, specifically Ahn Hyo-seop, the guy who did the dialog for him. The rest of the voice actors were pretty good though. Overall, I'd watch it again, especially the opening action scene/music video, that shit was awesome.

Holy shit, the acting, the writing, the way it uses the computer, it's incredible.

The acting is good, but obviously it's very dated, especially with how it sees autism. How it sees race is kinda confusing, I probably missed something, but for some reason these 2 black guys say this black women isn't black enough, like she's "dipped in maple syrup" or something cause she's a nurse. I don't know if that's was an actual thing people thought at the time, or if this film is out of touch; it's weird. It's better as a time capsule than anything. The rage reduction scene on Amanda was horrible to watch, I had to pause it cause of how uncomfortable it was. The funny thing is that the actress who played Amanda is pretty good, especially compared to many performers who play autistic characters, which makes the scene worse. Also, a later scene on the carousel where they're like "come on Amanda, why don't you smile" like fuck off assholes. I can see this movie being used in a class to show how Autism used to be seen by medical professionals, with the refrigerator mother theory, and the rage reduction. There's a bunch of other shit that happens, an attempted rape, a dumb scene where one of the nuns protests a store and wants to get arrested, this movie is more insane than I thought it'd be.

I ain't into sci fi, but this film's amazing. Even when I was a kid who preferred princess stuff, it kept my attention. I love the animation, Lilo and Stitch have great character designs and expressions. Lilo and Nani's relationship is also great, I didn't really understanding what was going on as a kid, but I still distinctly remember certain moments, like the hammock scene, and when Stitch called out "lost" in the night, I didn't get it, but those moments stuck with me. Lilo is a great character, I like her and Stitch as a duo, also lowkey how she takes care of Stitch is a parallel to Nani taking care of Lilo, dealing with this crazy little cutie. She's also an interesting character to talk about when it comes to Autism headcanons, because you could easily interpret how Lilo acts as her dealing with her parents' death and loneliness, but you can also see symptoms of Autism; you can even interpret it as both. People tend to get really defensive when it comes to talking about autism headcanons, but at the end of the day, it's all in good fun. Anyway, I ain't into action adventure stuff, so the action scenes were just yada yada to me, still, there were some funny stuff in it, "oh good, my dog found the chainsaw", honestly, this movie was surprisingly funny. Only weird thing is that scene where Jumba yelled "This is low even for you!", and Lilo didn't hear it for some reason. Also, I love the music and hula dancing.

The Dad has an imaginary friend in this movie that he orders drinks for, yet Austin is the weird one?! Yeah, right. Straight up, this movie feels dated despite coming out this year. I don't agree that Austin is an unrealistic portrayal of Autism, it's based on a real guy after all, but the character isn't given any depth in this movie. He just exists in this movie for the Dad's journey, Logan is even worse, I don't remember a single personality trait of his. I remember Austin, I don't remember Logan. There's also a mental hospital scene that's really fucked up, so Austin's meds get changed, and because of this, he throws a can at his mom's head(she has brittle bone disease like Austin, so this is dangerous) and attacks his brother Logan, so they send him to a mental hospital. If Logan did this, even after a medication change, they'd just send him to his room to calm down or something. I don't know all the details of how it happened in real life, but in this movie, they act like this was the right thing to do when it wasn't. Also, they never apologize to Austin for messing with his meds. I don't remember if it was a week later or a few days later, but they act like Austin is completely fine after staying at the hospital, all happy go lucky. We don't ever find out how Austin's feeling about what happened to him, we just focus on the parents. God forbid we discuss how Austin's feeling in a movie that's named after him. EDIT: Ok, turns out there's a deleted scene where they ask Austin how the mental hospital was, and he says "I'm never going back there again", apparently that was from real life, and they basically took the one scene where they ask Austin about his feelings on what happened to him, and CUT IT OUT OF THE MOVIE?!!

Eh, it's bad, but not in interesting ways to me...until the dwarves showed up, mainly cause the CGI on them look like shit. I feel bad for the actress who played Snow White because people are acting like she ruined the movie's box-office when UGLY ASS CGI DWARVES PROBABLY DID THAT. She was just doing her job and said some cringe shit, this isn't an Ezra Miller situation. Her acting was meh in the movie, not particularly good, but not really bad either. In fact, most of the actors in this movie were just kinda fine, at least the prince was pretty good at acting. The only one who stood out to me for sucking was the Evil Queen, I never believed her performance, but she wasn't annoying. The cartoon Snow White is a movie that relies heavily on fairy tale logic, you're not supposed to ask why it makes no sense. This movie tries to add logic, and it doesn't really work here, like with how the magic mirror works. Overall, this movie sucks, but like with The Little Mermaid remake and Captain Marvel, I call bullshit with all the hate the main actress got.

While some things weren't that bad, the movie mostly sucked. I guess Eric and Ariel's chemistry was well written, even if poorly acted. Anyway, most of the actors were either miscast or just not good (possibly due to poor direction, I'm not sure), the actress who played Ariel is a talented singer but not a talented actress, even her singing wasn't a good fit for the musical theater tone the film needed. Triton was poorly acted and it just felt like he was an asshole and not a concerned father. Ursula was horribly miscast, and her voice either sounded drunk or she was flirting, it was super awkward. The guy who did the voice acting on Sabastain couldn't do the accent to save his life, at first I thought the actor would be a good fit for this movie with his background in musical theater, but I guess not. The best actors were the women who played Eric's mom, Vanessa, the worker lady who helped Ariel, and guy who was in charge of making sure Eric was safe. Eric's acting sucked though. Also, the whole movie was way too dimly lit, it was hard to see half the time, and what we did see was weird, Sabastain and Flounder looks like shit. I do feel bad for the people who were told to make realistic fish and crabs charming though, that must have been a big ask.

You know when people parody Disney movies, they'll have it be cheesy and chipper af, this movie is that...sorta. I think what keeps it from being super annoying is the dark stuff, the animation in the woods scene is especially creative with the alligator logs, and trees grabbing at her. The story still has some fairy tale edge to it while giving you the happy ending. I'm honestly split on Snow White herself. On the one hand, she's really sweet, and there is something charming about having a Disney Princess sound like Betty Boop. Plus the story hinges on her being the most beautiful and kind person in all the land, so it makes sense. On the other hand, it can get pretty grating to have this adult lookin woman act like a Shirley Temple character. If someone told me Snow White was their least favorite Disney Princess for that, I'd understand. That said, if someone told me Snow White was their favorite Disney Princess for the same reason, I'd also get it. Overall, I think this is one of those movies that really does feel like a fairy tale come to life, but the super chipper vibes are grating to me though.

It has a fucked up restraint scene. The main character(an autistic woman) has a meltdown, but the "professional" cunt just immediately restrains her without really trying anything else. The autistic woman doesn't like to be touched, yet the "professional" lady's first instinct to "help" is to TOUCH her?! And when(big shock) that doesn't work, she then restrains her!?! BullFuckingShit, this is an awful use of restraint, and no other good methods were first used as an alternative?! I've been to special needs schools, and restraint is not supposed to be the "use first" method, this is fucking dangerous to show people!!! Regardless of what I thought of the rest of the movie, this scene needs to be called out.
