I absolutely love season 1, and looking forward to the seasons to come! Even after studying the bible and commentaries about the gospels for years, it's still hard to understand that "personal touch" of what the times were like and how the people's day to day lives/struggles may have been. I can understand how some select fundamentalists feel that it is "heresy" to insert any poetic justice into the story, but it does so much to help me understand...how much more for those that haven't strained at it for years??? I also agree that those who do not read the Bible, could take the poetic justice parts as fact, which is unfortunate, but I would ask the fundamentalists: Do any of the things that they inserted to relate the stories actually do harm to the message of the gospel??? Maybe they should specifically comment about that, instead of the blanket response of "heresy"...At least the review readers, and maybe even the show's writers could be aware. (If such accusations even exist) :)
