After 24 years, Goldeneye is one of the best films in the Bond Franchise. This is also a film that had past precedent taken from Bond films. One of the most important thing about it is it shaped the new beginning of how Bond girls are used as stronger, complex characters than their weaker and useless counterparts in the past. James Bond is a British superhero-spy to save the world who is suave, has a sense of humor, wit, dark and has a dark personality. This is the best and great film you have to watch when you want the right balance of related plot, subject matter that is relatable during the 1990s like safe sex, the Internet, and what happened when Russia was dissolved after 1991. Pierce Brosnan’s portrayal of James Bond was based from a combination of Sean Connery and Roger Moore, but he puts his own suave, dark and enough grit. All of the actors were excellent too. The film was very well made in terms of use of exotic locations, cinematography, the plot, product placement. If you enjoy an entertaining, action thriller James Bond film that has all of the elements of a Bond film making it a success which builds on what works from past and after films. You have to see this first. Goldeneye is one of my favorite Bond films and Pierce is a great and versatile actor. Dame Judi Dench gave an amazing performance as M, and made it as her own. Robbie Coltrane plays Valentin Zukovsky that is a supporting actor within the Bond universe. Desmond Llewelyn as Q is the iconic gadget quartermaster. Sean Bean, Famke Jansen, Isabella Scorupco, Michael Kitchen, Minnie Driver, Alan Cumming had amazing performances that kept the movie going that had non-stop action, entertainment and tongue-in-cheek humor. Don’t forget Martin Campbell ‘s direction and the rest of the crew - they have an incredible job making this movie a success and so believable. Overall, Goldeneye made a lasting legacy of the Bond franchise coming in the new millennium in the movies and gaming industries.
