Ken Jong and Charlie Day have an inseperable working relationship as silent actor and his publicist. The critics rated this movie poorly. However, I think critics vastly misunderstood the satire. The essence of this movie exposes the real highs and lows of working in Hollywood. From the ER doctor taking selfies with the actor while the nurses mix up wrong patient, to a prosthetic artist sculpting a mosquito, Rapper Common playing a street denizen who takes “Latte Pronto” under his wing, two timing politician putting on a show for the public, and a charlie Chaplin- like performance from Mr. Day. I laughed and got a real kick out of the characters and performances. I believe Fool’s Paradise was one of the best cinemas of 2023!
