I guess it’s a good tv show for kids, not for the ones who read the books when they first came out though. Ignore the controversy about casting and changing how the characters are described in the books and you’re still left with a series “based” on the books, but in no way loyal to them. If you read the books you can quickly realize that the plot and the details change. The actors don’t particularly personified the characters particularly well and it does feel a bit rushed on how the story is told. It’s weird in the way that they try to keep to the main story while completely changing the characters approach to it. All the action described in the books are mostly gone, they really made this for kids there is no doubt about it. I was just left disappointed, I expected it to be more loyal to the books and the plot that we follow in the books but that just didn’t really happen.
