Lars Bosteen

Absurdly over-rated by critics, and this comes from a fan of sci-fi films. On the plus side, it sometimes impresses visually, but this positive is overwhelmed by the film's many weaknesses. I'm fairly tolerant of plots that have a few holes in them but this goes way too far. It's also predictable (especially the ending) and thus lacks any real suspense, and whenever the film does seem to be getting interesting, along comes a scene which drags it back below mediocracy.
