Love this book. I just happen to pick this book up at a small bookstore on Christmas Eve. As I had my toddler with me I did not have time to read more than the title but thought it looked cute and I bought it. It was the only one left too. When I took it home and had a second to read it I was completely dumbfounded. This was my childhood and my story! A little backstory my nana passed away about little over a year ago. Her parents were north end Italian immigrants. When my nana got married she moved to the South Shore of MA to a costal town where most of my family still lives. We grew up spending a lot of our summers at the yacht club and every Christmas we would all make ravioli and antipasto together and serve it for Christmas dinner. My Nana’s name was also Ann. It felt like my Nana had dropped this book in my lap from heaven. Christmas Day when we were almost done opening presents I told everyone Nana had one more present. Then I read this book to my family. Everyone absolutely loved it and thought it was crazy how similar the story was to our own.
