It amazes me how most of the negative comments are related to current politics or the fact that a same-sex couple is involved. I don't believe the series' objective was to fully experience life on the border, but rather to demonstrate what it could be like. There's a huge discrepancy in trying to fully experience life on the border, starting from a wealthy life in the modern world. Taking upper-class families is part of the process, as it's much more impactful to lower the level of coexistence and comfort when you have everything. If you don't have fragile masculinity, or if your values are so fragile that you can't bear to see a same-sex couple living happily without harming anyone, here's some relevant information:
-The series is a reality show, not a documentary. It's not intended for you to fully experience life on the border, but it still presents many aspects of that time, creating a more educational and playful atmosphere.
-The families will experience a roller coaster, and judging the children for being children is incredibly sad.
It's worth watching without spewing current politics and "correct" concepts.
Please disregard the translation errors, as I'm Brazilian. I wanted to talk about this series here, but it hasn't broken the bubble yet.
