When I decided to give it a try I honestly didn't know what to expect for the only "progressive" band I was fan of was Pink Floyd. However, from the moment I heard that Rick Davies piano playing fading in I knew it was gonna be something huge. It turns out I was right.
Not only this album has one of the greatest openers and closers in pop music history (Gone Hollywood, Child of Vision) but also every song in this record could have been a successful single.
Of course, the album is not perfect, however it achieves a unique balance between the progressive rock and British pop of 70`s.
It is hard to say what's the album climax, it is so well constructed that everything feels cohesive and natural without being boring.
No wonder why this album elevated Supertramp to the superstars status at the time.
Everyone should listen to this record at least once in their lives, is a must.
