Dragon age fan - with origins being my all time fave. Veilguard is not at Origins level for story , dialogue, combat tactics but like DA2, is a more streamlined experienced. I liken this to Mass effect 2 from mass effect (veterans will understand the shift of RPG elements that ME2 dropped from the original) yet the everyone loved ME2. The game was better. Unfortunately Veilguard is not better however similar in the sense - you can feel that the game is made more accessible and yes, streamlined. What makes this game great though is the dragon age lore, history, and polished product. I prefer tactical pausing, spell combos, min - maxing hit/crit to be able to really play DnD style , but that did not stop me from enjoying the game. Writing this as I was apprehensive about the negative reviews that users were giving, but wanted to let those still on the fence know that this is still a great BioWare game.
