There were so many amazing moments that bring about an intense feeling of nostalgia, happiness and sadness all at once. The Rise of Skywalker does a fantastic job of showing the end of an era. It’s not about the mood shots, it’s about the characters this time so it is faster paced but that just means every moment of the movie matters. Also, people are saying there were plot holes but I didn’t really see any after a little investigation and thought on my questions myself after the movie had ended. Overall, this is a wonderful, tear invoking, end to a story that has been told for generations both in the films and in reality.

It’s as if Studio Ghibli sold everything to a cheap, knockoff producing movie company. The animation is truly computer generated with characters that barely show any emotion and seem as if they are always out of sync with their voices. The plot is passable but everything feels so different from the way studio Ghibli normally makes movies, with actual care and love put into them. It’s like watching the studio whither and die in a computer animated monstrous end. I love Studio Ghibli movies but this movie made me hope that, if this is the style they are going for now, the studio doesn’t put out any more movies.

Amazing and engaging story from start to end! The animation and story were so inventive! I’ve already watched it twice and it’s only been out for two days.

Plenty of plot twists and little references to Harry Potter. Fantastic special effects, acting, and plenty of room for further story lines in future movies. Overall, I loved it.
