As a person that loves the books but also understands that some things cannot be translated from paper to screen I absolutely hate this series. Let's be honest book readers there is so much of these books that is not acceptable to be shown on screen HOWEVER as a series on it's own is absolutely awful. I dont think this series will survive it does not have enough to make the readers happy and not enough for non readers to become invested. In comparison I loved the outlander books and series I loved the game of thrones books and series but both of these had enough substance in the series to succeed regardless if readers didnt like that they didnt match. Mayfair witches does not have enough for either side. As a reader myself It follows nothing other than a few names in similarity and I'm watching this with my bf who has never read the books. It is not a fluid reconstruction of the books and is really just awful
