I loved to see this kind of True Detective atmosphere again and with Benicio it was so perfect!, also I love the way the Justin Timberlake act, this kind of spoiled boy but with a layer of resentment.
But as a new director appears, their narrative flaws also appears... like why the red church and the ominous 'priest' are on the plot?, what about the blond wig? who was the limping character framed by a whitness? if that so was the ultra police boss was the killer an not one of the many hitmans on their behalf? so why then there's a framed drug dealer who call the husband?
And also appears the naive tools that the director use for drama pruposes, in this case they use the 'all was a dream tool' that for me is the worst tool of all because so on after that every climax interaction is spoiled bc you must wait to see if was a dream or not..
Also is the resourse of the phone calling to reveal the bad guy but it was just an at&t call and in the last minute revealed who really was receiving the culprit call, is also naive because the two who received the call where crooked in the same way so theres no surprice.
So anyways, a good graphic experience with a good cast, but the plot was weak thing for the ominous atmosphere.
