Life-changing television.
This show is brimming with hilarious antics, snappy dialog, and top-tier ensemble work. But at its core it's a deeply heartfelt, earnestly romantic story of finding love, self-forgiveness, and the freedom to live authentically at any age. It doesn’t shy away from the messiness and darker complexities of some of its characters, but its ultimate goal is to show us that these deeply sympathetic weirdos are worthy of so much love. Our Flag Means Death is entertaining as hell, holds up to multiple rewatches, and might just convince you (as it did me) that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself and search for what makes you truly happy.
