Sir Oddball

Boring. Wanted to leave. Just left the cinema and am so disappointed I felt compelled to write a review for the first time. It is one of the worst films I've ever watched. After 20 minutes I asked my g/f when it was going to get started. Was ready to leave after an hour. About 10 hours later I was suicidal. Soooooo slow. It didn't work at all. The film almost ended 3 or 4 times then dragged out a other scene. Sketchy plot, badly directed, long slow periods when not much happens. Over-acted and self-indulgent cinematography. Tried to be something is wasn't. Bruce Wayne was a goth(?) and Robert Pattinson was totally unconvincing as Batman. The husky voice narration script was so lacking in depth. Why does Bruce Wayne carry his Batman suit in a rucksack? Pattinson adopted a slow walk with loud footsteps to try and look menacing, but instead looked like Robocop with a low battery. So wooden and dull. One thing I did I like was the aggression/ uncontrolled temper. They made out Batman / Bruce Wayne was damaged goods which is a great concept and makes sense. A better actor in the lead role and it could have worked. If you are hoping for a dark, gripping, thought provoking film like Joker - this ain't it. And comparing it to Se7en is unfair to everyone who was involved with the legendary film, Se7en, although it does rain a lot.
