If I could manifest my sentiment, this content would burn with my lighting redirection...👆✌️👉💥🗯 So here, this is not about the story in itself as if it was different story, it would be left alone as I would probably have stopped watching right after the air and fire benders fight. However which for some, is a slightly entertaining version of a bender Harry Potter as sure they used the same template for momo as to Toby the house elf, and who doesn't love Toby?! For others with a heart tattoo by the real avatar, it was just torture. True fans will understand this: Rushed and completely destroyed plot lines like putting the mad scientist with his paraplegic son and the Zet story together in Omashu, and completely eliminating the stakes that the scientist distroyed Aangs background culture and portrait Zet even more like an irrational activists by wanting to explode earth kingdom. What about zuko? In the real show he undergoes a deep spiritual transformation and healing. Yet, it feels like a shadow of this journey was placed on the middle of the mess, cutting important parts and replacing with flashbacks. PLUS, Bumi is insensitive, incredibly angry, which made him just plain cruel and aggressive, which is completely out character. WHAT ABOUT Sokka and Katara BEING on the tunnel where some of the first glimpses of the love story between Katara and Aang due to the lovers light. Plus the badgermole are now monster creatures? Some people might say, "oh but it is only 8 Episodes?!" So what? That was a choice. Seriously, if you are going to take all this liberty, just write an original story and let me make my decision if I want to watch without taking advantage of my Avatar Obsession. Plus all the depth of wisdom that is in the original work comes down as cheesy motivation, with repetitive self claiming monologues by Aang, and tough love (like with Kioshy) she was strong, yet wise and centered, while this version was more like an emotional and abusive witch. Most of the time, Aang couldn't bring one emotion out me, and his faces 😲?!(This is not a testimony of the actor's potential, as the script did not evoke emotion from him either) Iroh brought me an ocean of sadness for the fact that this attempt could have never been able to come close to this beloved character that was the uncle of my dreams. For example:at times he is too indifferent and passive aggressive. At the time of his capture and how he received the soldier pain was definitely not Iroh. This is the problem because you can't duplicate something so deep, so unique and great like the original and any attempt is just so disappointing. Leave it alone. Are you telling me that no one can come up with something that could even come close in greatness. Some people here are giving extra points because it wasn't as horrible as the 2010 movie, please?!... do not even mention that fiasco, much less use as a reference for expectation. The original show have truly transformed me as a person. I went through many marathons when life was giving me way too many lemons and I was over lemonade 😪 😩 🙃. Thank you for moking, turning into horror, watering down the wisdom and giving an identity crises to one of the best, most deep shows ever. Yet, beautiful special affects and digital design. Now, I need to rewatch the original cartoon...
