The film is challenging and thoughtful. Some questions it asks are answered and some are not. It seems like the film attempts to take on too much and, thus, leaves some story lines dangling, but answers others in great detail. It does build on the Alien story and adds some new dimensions. It has stunning visual effects. Incredible. Great acting for the most part and well worth your time. If you like the Alien series this one is for your collection.
