i watched it coming off of listening to stephanie soo’s podcast episode about the book. first things first, i don’t like that they didn’t include when she went on the chat room to talk to someone. how they changed her giving him the key, then how david was the one to tell her about katie???? and ethan’s whole motive???? the rest of the actors did an okay job of i’m being honest. amy did a fucken phenomenal job!!! seriously she’s the only thing that kept me so entranced through the whole movie, whenever anyone else came into the scene it was a jump space the way they spoke.

this is one of the first star wars stories i’ve ever watched, so it’s safe to say i don’t know the lore. i think amandla did great playing mae and osha! their contrasts were so telling! manny jacinto, let’s get it out of the way, THE MAN IS BEAUTIFUL! i think all the women could agree that they’d join him in a heartbeat! his acting was amazing. i loved how he treated mae and osha SO DIFFERENTLY. it reminded me of the vampire diaries, nina dobrev played two characters and ian somerholder was essentially the villain for some time and you could tell that he had a soft side for elena where as katherine he couldn’t stand her. i think manny played that very well. i hope this gets a second season!! i think i say for every woman who is in the star wars fandom that they’ve been waiting for this, for the ml to finally give into the dark side!
