Ian Hogan

I bought this book when I was working to switch careers from mathematics higher education to software development/engineering. I think it is a fantastic book for anyone preparing for a practical interview in software. It probably helped me secure my current job, which I have risen through the ranks to senior. Even take home exercises which are more common I am finding, are well prepared for by doing problems in this book, some of which are much more involved. Just today I was stuck on a sql puzzle regarding counts and actually recalled a solution to the same problem in this book. I pulled it off the shelf, and was to a solution inside of 5 minutes.
