So, I just watched Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and here are my honest thoughts. The movie is a mix of comedy, romance, and horror, trying to bring together the vibes of both part 1 and part 2. But I felt like there was a bit of a disconnect. They crammed in too many romantic scenes and songs, which, while enjoyable, made me wonder at times am I watching a horror movie or some rom-com with a twist? That confusion kind of took away from the main reason I came to watch it: the horror.
Now, donโt get me wrongโthe storyline itself is pretty solid. It pulls you in, but the spooky atmosphere that defined the original was missing for a good chunk of the movie. Itโs only after the interval that the horror aspect kicks in properly, and you finally feel like, โAh, yes, this is a Bhool Bhulaiyaa movie!โ But even then, it just doesnโt have that iconic energy of part 1 (and honestly, part 2 had the same issue).
What did work, though, were the performances. Vidya Balan, as always, nailed it. Madhuri Dixit brought her usual elegance, and Kartik Aaryan did a decent job keeping up with the comedic and dramatic moments. Shreya Ghoshalโs song was a highlight for me, it really added something special.
Overall, itโs worth watching if youโre a fan of the series, but donโt go in expecting that same magic as the first movie. Iโd say itโs a 4-star watch for me. Thanks for reading! ๐
