I hope the book is better than this movie. Very tame and watered down depiction of domestic violence, with a perpetrator that somehow we are encouraged to ‘feel sorry’ for due to a traumatic upbringing. Doesn’t really fly with me tbh. If things end as cleanly as that, then I’m Mr Blobby.

Certainly not expecting to see something like that at the cinema - but it brought for a great atmosphere, everyone seemed to be shocked and awkwardly laughing away. Great film, not for the faint hearted 😅
