The book is nothing like the movie. It is packed full of sexually explicit material, rapist apologist, and there are zero healthy relationships within its pages. Unlike the movie the shark takes a back seat to a plot line of unhappy townspeople who are living in the poverty line. It also encourages murdering protected species- ones protected even when this book was originally written. The cursing is just an added bonus and gets worse as the book goes on. I would rate this for a mature audience only unless you want your kids reading about rape, threesomes and adultery.
