I really don't understand all the people calling this a horror masterpiece, it like we watched a completely different film. Nosferatu is not scary, you don't have enough connection to any of the characters to care if they live or die. You barely see any of them express even the smallest sign of personality other than their reactions to stress. Sure there's blood and violence, but without a compelling context it's just stuff that happens. The pacing was atrocious, you spend the entire first half of the film watching disjointed scenes that communicate some helpful exposition, but give you no sense of how much time is passing. Lily Rose Depp did a great job considering her character wasn't really a fleshed out person, although none of the characters were really at all. Visually it was nice, but just nice. It's not like a Dario Argento film where I could watch it just for the visuals. I don't get the rave reviews, this film doesn't really inspire any sort of reaction from me other than the occasional light chuckle because I knew a death was coming.
TLDR: it's not scary and none of what happens means anything because it doesn't happen to anyone you really care about. Also the mustache on Oorlock made him silly.
