Having gone through a series of unbearable trials, Henri remains the same, irrepressible soul, driven by the urge to return to home. Action was the meaning of his life. But Louis has changed significantly during trials.........he revaluated the values, life priorities, and remaining on the Island he gained true freedom, he rejected everything superfluous and superficial. Brilliant music as well. The last scene, where the ruins of the former prison are shown is magnificent, well how can we not remember the words of the sage Ecclesiastes.
